Although I believe that individuals are ultimately responsible for
our own destiny, I don't deny that every person, whatever they
accomplish in life, is what they are because of what their previous
generations did for them. If you went to school, it's because someone
before you built that school. The same is true for higher education and
for jobs.
Now, some generations in some countries have done better than others.
India's record in this respect, for understandable reasons, is not very
admirable -- especially for the rural masses, which make up 80% of
India's population. So, it is almost a must for my generation to
initiate a process which will lead, over decades, to an improved quality
of life for India's rural masses. The Pardada Pardadi Girls Vocational
School (PPGVS) is the initial step in that quest.
An effort like this cannot be a single person's task. A very large
group of people, spread over all the continents and having similar
philosophies of life is needed. My very humble request to all the people
who visit this site is that you please join this effort. If, for
whatever reason, you cannot join hands with PPES, please do contribute
in your respective communities for the betterment of the forthcoming
generations.
