Families are making use of bathing and toilet facilities, located in Madargate, the very poorest community in the region. The Green Initiative also includes the Solar Lantern project which has provided 200 families with solar lanterns. Solar lanterns reduce fire and health risks and provide much brighter lighting than a candle or fuel lantern provides. Girls can read and do homework and women can work after dark.
